Personal Energy
Personal energy means different things to each of us, but no matter how it’s defined, the more we have, the more we tend to want. Energy is addictive, and lacking it can feel oppressive. Contrary to popular belief, personal energy—or personal power—cannot be taken from you by anyone or anything. However, it can be given away, whether consciously, subconsciously, or unconsciously. The only person capable of giving away your energy is you. This creates a significant problem, as most people are unaware they are leaking energy or giving away their power indiscriminately, often in ways that harm them. Many don’t realize there are ways to stop this energy loss, or that techniques exist to help re-energize themselves.
Since you are the only one who can increase, hold, and conserve your energy, only you can make changes. The five physical senses you rely on are limited, as they only perceive the world of physical, mineral matter, which is just a fraction of reality. Beyond this lie the higher or lower non-physical worlds—the astral, etheric, soul, and spirit realms. To experience these dimensions, you must reawaken your seven inner senses, which you may not be fully aware of. These senses are often more active in early childhood and later in life, when we rely less on the physical senses and more on inner ones to interpret the world.
In fact, as you grow and mature, your five physical senses should become more refined, and spiritually speaking, your inner senses should re-emerge as the dominant ones. This brings the spiritual world into the physical realm, rather than requiring practices like meditation or contemplation to temporarily leave the physical and experience the spiritual.
The energy you use each day is replenished by your astral body during sleep, and you have an energy capsule around you that holds this refreshed energy. Ideally, there should be enough energy to last the full 24 hours, with a surplus stored in the capsule for future use—enough to sustain a long, healthy life.
Earth, as beautiful and abundant as it is, is not a paradise but a training ground for souls, spirits, and other forms of divine order. It is a school where we receive immediate feedback on our thoughts, emotions, and actions. We experience pleasure or pain based on the consequences of our choices, as reflected by our physical, emotional, mental, and etheric bodies. The purpose is to enjoy life, help others be themselves without judgment, and experience joy. We are the pioneers of a new world, one that we will define and into which we will be reborn.
To help others, however, we must first help ourselves by truly knowing ourselves. This means becoming conscious and aware of our willful, emotional, and mental selves. How conscious and aware we become now will influence our spiritual evolution more than anything we’ve done in the past or will do in future lives. What you do in this lifetime defines and channels the direction of your future lives.
Have you considered that your negative thoughts, feelings, and actions may have created fissures, cracks, or even holes in your energy field, allowing your energy to deplete? Do you know that you can replace this lost energy and eventually build a surplus within yourself?
Metaphysical teachings often refer to subtle energy, which science calls electromagnetic energy. While terms like prana, chi, and psychic energy may feel more relatable, I will use the term electromagnetic energy here. Feel free to substitute any term that resonates with you.
In an increasingly competitive world, one of the few untapped options is learning how to increase your personal power and, more importantly, how to retain it. Reawakening your inner senses not only empowers you but also gives you an edge—allowing you to see what others cannot, know what others don’t, and perceive beyond the ordinary.
At this point, can you see anyone who is going to do this for you? Your only option is to metaphorically stand in front of the mirror, listen to the truth it reflects, and accept that only you can take the steps needed to reclaim and conserve your personal energy.
