The Most Monumental Time in Your Life That Molded You Into Who You Are Today!
From the moment of conception until you were 18 months old, you were like a sponge, absorbing every emotion, thought, and feeling of your mother—believing they were your own. This means that from the instant your life force emerged on this planet (at conception), you’ve carried within your being a core belief about yourself. That belief aligns with your mother’s emotional state at the exact moment of your conception. Whether she was feeling joy, fear, or pain, that emotion became part of your emotional makeup and belief system, and it still influences you today.
As your mother carried you through pregnancy, you continued to experience her emotions as your own. These emotions were stored in your body, creating an emotional framework or foundation based on your mother’s feelings. Later, around the age of 18 months, when you began to experience your own emotions as an individual, you stored these new emotions within the same framework. Over time, your emotions became entangled with your mother’s, and the two remain intertwined to this day.
Inner child work sometimes gets a bad reputation in the healing world because it can be tedious and bring up painful memories or traumas that people prefer to avoid. While this work can be challenging, it is highly effective—especially when you learn to manage your inner child and how he or she interferes with your life.
