As I See It: How Life Works

Working with clients over the past twenty years has given me the opportunity to explore the world of multidimensionality first hand as I intuit with my clients and guide them through non-ordinary reality. I have had the opportunity to work with many, many interesting people and to follow along on their journeys into the subconscious and unconscious minds. As their stories unfolded I began to piece together a somewhat unique view of life and, also, of the birth process. Following is an overview of life as I see it from the perspective of many journeys into the subconscious/unconscious. Much of it is supported by research in the areas of fetal development, psychology and metaphysics.

Earth Experiment/Reincarnational Cycles

As human beings exploring physicality on Planet Earth, most of us have been caught in a cycle of reincarnation for thousands of lifetimes. Very, very few people have had only a couple of lifetimes, although this is a widely held view. On the macrocosmic level we are an extension of God, Goddess, All That Is in its search of understanding, growth, Self. On a microcosmic level each of our lifetimes is an extension of our Higher Self in search for understanding, growth, becoming more of God, Goddess, All That Is. Our different lifetimes and different life experiences are an opportunity for our Higher Self, through Soul/Spirit, to experience all that there is to experience. Somewhat unique about Earth (and the reason most of us chose to incarnate here) is that earthlings have the opportunity to experience a full range of emotions. We have come to Earth to learn to be masters of emotion--to learn to create using thought and feeling.

Life Between Life

What some people refer to as karma, I like to call The Search for Experiencing All to Reach a State of Balance. Overall the Soul/Spirit do not operate in a chaotic fashion. As the overseers or coordinators of life's experiences, Soul/Spirit are involved in extensive planning and study in preparation for the "next" lifetime. The wisest of counselors are consulted and elaborate plans are drawn up for the more complex lifetimes and are made part of a vibrational blueprint.

The Hall of Decision-Making or Room of Contracts is a place where clients often go in the in-between worlds. In this hall you meet with High Self, Soul/Spirt, the pure soul essences of your parents-to-be, future family members, friends. It is here that your life's purpose and the reasons to be born into a particular family are decided. The records of those choices can be found and read giving important insight to your life's path. Prior to conception your High Self, Soul/Spirit make very specific decisions about who you will be and the framework of the life in which you will operate. All of this is done in order for you to explore specific emotions in the Soul's thirst for balance and the experience of All. Plans for the future life on Earth always look easier from the "other side" where the veil of forgetfulness can not be fully comprehended. In the in-between world separation from God, Goddess, All That Is is merely a concept.

Conception -- Spirit Meets Matter

At the event of your conception perhaps your parents were happily married; or maybe they were "chance" lovers who never really knew each other.. Your particular circumstances were planned as the framework in which you were to experience the emotions your Soul/Spirit wanted you to explore. At the split moment of conception the egg and sperm from the physical bodies of mother and father fuse. A fragment of mother's life force and a fragment of father's life force enter the original cell. As the cell divides and grows, these life forces establish themselves in developing your four-body system -- emotional, mental, etheric, astral. At the instant of the explosion of conception another life force enters as a gift from God, Goddess, All That Is. This gift of life force acts as an instinctive connection to our spiritual source; it is a knowing that we are eternal. Our conscious awareness of conception is forgotten but our deeper cellular, psychic and spiritual memory haunts us all to remember Home.

Cellular Memory, Core Beliefs, Genetic Programming Begin

Mother's and father's life spark usually settles in one, but sometimes in many different places within either the physical, auric or etheric fields. The location influences how you relate to your parents and other authority figures. Also, core beliefs regarding the dynamics of sexual relationships are often traced to this powerful point in time because each of your cells contains the exact emotional imprint of what mother was feeling when making love with father. Likewise, each cell contains the emotional imprint of father's feelings.

As the fetus continues to develop over the next nine months, it is a thinking, feeling entity busy observing its surroundings. Mostly etheric in the earlier months, becoming more physical as it nears birth, the fetus is not confined to merely observing the warm darkness of the womb but is eavesdropping on the world surrounding mother. Because of the very strong bond with mother that comes from sharing her body and seeing the world view through her "eyes", 80% or more of our pre-verbal core beliefs originate directly from mother. The remaining 20% come from father and significant other people who are close to mother. The fetus empathically absorbs every body sensation, emotion and thought that mother or others close to mother are experiencing. That information is part of the preparation for life after birth and is crucial to survival. As the fetus absorbs the body sensations, emotions and thoughts that it is exposed to in the womb, it stores them in specific locations -- most of which are learned from mother's storage pattern. After birth many of the same somatic patterns learned in the womb continue automatically. (Note: How and where we store emotions has a great deal to do with our physical appearance and development of illness throughout our lives and is especially noticeable as we age. Hence, often we look more and more like mother as we grow older. Illness that is attributed to genetics may actually be more linked to like-emotional response/storage.)

Mother's experience of pregnancy is individual and can have lasting effects on the fetus she is carrying. If mother was consistently experiencing stress, anxiety and tension throughout the gestation period the physical body of the fetus/newborn/child/adult will experience anxiety and tension as his/her body's natural feeling-sense. Some of the other important developmental and emotional womb-time experiences that need to be examined follow: 1) In some cases mother's physical body attempts to reject the fetus causing it to develop/survive in a hostile womb environment. The result could be core associations being made between mother's love, physical pain, rejection, self worth and the ability to be loved. 2) Mother's addictions to tobacco, alcohol or drugs during pregnancy causing addiction behaviors that are anchored in the womb-time. 3) Feelings of abandonment, loss, grief, fear, stress, anxiety, etc. resulting from mother's feelings about father, her parents, incidents that happened to her or core beliefs that she had absorbed from her mother. 4) Feelings of being spaced-out, confused and not being in the body could be responses that were learned from mother in her attempt to avoid or deny. 5) Mother's reaction to stress, her withdrawal from intimacy, etc. during pregnancy may result in the child/adult repeating the same patterns throughout life.

As we grow up we believe that what we feel is ours alone when what we are actually experiencing are mothers/father's/significant others' feelings. Habits and beliefs picked up from mother are not natural to the fetus/child -- they are instinctual. They were learned or absorbed from mother and then assumed to be natural. These borrowed behaviors, feelings, core beliefs can be transcended once they are uncovered.

Soul/Spirit and "Last" Lifetime Oversee Fetal Development

At conception Spirit enters the original cell and then continues to oversee and energize the construction of the physical body using a blueprint supplied by the Soul.

The life essence from the "last" lifetime (not linear -- the lifetime whose issues or emotions are most closely linked to this lifetime) also joins at conception and then participates in directing the cellular growth as it cooperates with Spirit. This "last" lifetime influence has usually completed its task by the end of the third month and quietly retreats. It often transfers and leaves behind its core beliefs becoming a source of, for instance, "groundless" rage, sorrow, fear, etc.

Soul oversees Spirit in the fetal development and waits to commit to the lifetime until it is assured that the framework being developed will support the original purpose of the lifetime. If the framework is sufficient it will enter the body at the appropriate time. Some souls enter at conception or during the fetal stage. Most seem to enter closer to birth and may wait as long as 72 hours after birth. If the Soul does not commit to life within 72 hours of birth, the infant dies. After birth and throughout the lifetime the Soul continues its assessment of the lifetime and its commitment to remain in the physical. Sometimes a Soul chooses to leave because the lessons have been learned and desired experiences achieved. At other times the personality or circumstances can veer so far off from the original plan that the desired growth is not possible. In this case it is best, from the Soul's perspective, to start over.

As Soul and Spirit oversee development of the auric, etheric, emotional and mental bodies, the cellular physical body consciousness develops separately. The physical body is the synergy of the trillions of individual cell consciousnesses which create it. That synergy is the body consciousness, an awareness that is physical. It is an earth consciousness and not related to Soul or Spirit. Sometimes hostilities develop in the body consciousness, especially at the time the Soul enters the body. These hostilities can manifest in physical problems such as coldness or numbness or loss of functioning in different parts of the body. They can manifest emotionally as feelings such as not being good enough or, mentally, as the inability to focus or concentrate. If the body's individual cellular earth consciousness overrules the Soul consciousness, then diseases, addictions and many other uncomfortable and unhealthy behaviors result.

The actual birth begins when mother's water breaks and her contractions start. As the fetus goes through the process of being expelled from its home, its emotions mix with mother's fears, expectations and thoughts to form core beliefs concerning adventure, the unknown, the ability to choose or control surroundings, etc. Difficulties encountered when navigating the birth canal may develop such diverse core feelings as claustrophobia, unrealistic fear of dying, security concerns or mistrust of male/female authority figures. If mother was drugged, then the child also experienced that drug and entered the world feeling spaced-out, confused and disoriented--thinking that this is what life feels like. Tightening of the body as it enters the cold delivery room can register as the natural way to hold the body, resulting later in tight, tense and exhausted muscles. Likewise, entering into a bright room can cause tension in the eyes which, if held as a natural pattern for several years, could lead to eye disfunction.

Birth is our most traumatic life experience even if it is a healthy and natural birth. There are many possibilities that can add additional trauma to the birth process and contribute to negative core beliefs. For instance, if the umbilical cord is cut or clamped before the child's lungs are fully operational, the adult may experience addictions, breathing disorders, feelings of mistrust. How the infant was forced or coerced into breathing often has far-reaching effects. Chronic lower back pain, ankle and knee problems may have originated from the shock of being held by the ankles, dangled in the air and smacked on the buttocks.

Because birth is the most traumatic of life's events, there is much help and support given from the unseen spiritual world. The infant is alert to all of the beings who are assisting in the birth process. High Self, Soul/Spirit, counselors, guides, teachers and various other helpers such as witnesses and recorders line the room singing a tone or sound that is the etheric musical equivalent to the newborn's Soul vibration. The unseens sing the child's soul name and hold space for him/her to be born and then to breathe the first breath of life. This event can be recalled and relived. Re-experiencing the vibration of the Soul allows the comparison of our current vibration to that of the pure vibration of our Soul for the purpose of alignment. (Note: Our Soul chooses our given name prior to conception because its vibration/meaning is in line with our Soul's purpose. The Naming is the first of our seven life-phases of the Soul.)

First Love

The most devastating loss to the fetus/infant is the loss of the intimacy and safety of unconditional maternal love. The emotional connection between mother and fetus while in the womb is one of soul to soul or unconditional love. Upon birth the infant and mother relate to each other as physical beings and the personality of the mother can not offer the unconditional love that her Soul has constantly provided in the womb. Mother's personality usually does not know how to love as deeply as the newborn is ready to receive, and mother can not receive what the newborn has to offer. There is a brief soul reunion after birth when the infant is placed on the mother's body, but this is short-lived and the connection is lost. This experience echos the loss we felt when we originally left God, Goddess, All That Is.

Core Beliefs from Birth to 18 Months of Age

Circumcision is an extreme physical and emotional trauma that often occurs shortly after birth. The act of circumcision anchors core feelings relating to authority figures, self, helplessness and anger, to name just a few. Cutting of the umbilical cord may physically separate mother and child, but the infant remains totally attached to mother mentally, emotionally and spiritually until the age of 18 months. In fact, the infant can not discern where mother ends and he/she begins. Just as in the fetus, the infant picks up body sensations, emotions and thoughts directly from mother and adopts them as his/her own. Post-partum depression, frustration at lifestyle change, lack of sleep, etc. all directly affect the infant and contribute to core beliefs. Core beliefs formed before the age of 18 months are pre-verbal. Because of this they can be more difficult to pinpoint or access and must be handled differently than core beliefs formed in the verbal stage.

What Is a Core Belief?

Verbal Core Beliefs

After we begin to speak we continue to form core beliefs. Often we are reinforcing the core beliefs that had developed pre-verbally. The reinforced pre-verbal core beliefs become stronger. (Note: Many people have done inner child work, finding the core beliefs of the child. This approach is only mildly successful if the belief actually originated in the fetal or pre-verbal stage.)

Core Beliefs Coming from "Past" Lifetimes

Core beliefs can also originate from "past" lifetimes. (These are actually concurrent lifetimes and multidimensional aspects of You.) Core beliefs can also originate in any of your evolutionary cycles "prior" to your Earth experience extending all the way back to separation from God, Goddess, All That Is or Source. These core beliefs originating outside of the present life focus have an impact on your current life, but they do not cause or create incidents in your present life. The connection to a "past" lifetime may be very strong if it resonates closely to the current lifetime. Weak areas of emotional development in another lifetime may be the weak areas of emotional development in this life focus. Often we get caught in a loop and repeat the same patterns and sequences of events from lifetime to lifetime. By discovering and healing core beliefs in "past" lives we can help to pinpoint and transform similar core beliefs in the current lifetime.

Ending the Reincarnational Cycle/Coming Home

For many of us our Souls have planned this to be our last lifetime on Earth. However, in order to complete our incarnational entrapment, we must encounter in this lifetime everything that we had not been able to master or complete or let go of in "past" lifetimes. Out of necessity, in the planing stages of our current lifetime, most of us threw in all of our unresolved Soul issues and, as a result, have developed very weighty core beliefs. In this, our last Earth incarnation, we are confronting what our Soul would consider its most difficult tasks or most important lessons.

Note: Throughout this website there are references to past, present or other time-related delineations. Since we are in the third dimension and do experience time as linear I felt that, for simplification, it would be easier to refer to events in a time sequence as we normally do.
